Veronica Ballart Lilja is a Swedish illustrator based in New York. She studied graphic design and illustration at IDEP in Barcelona, where she began her career, and spent 15 years in Spain before moving to New York.

Working as a full-time illustrator since 2007, Veronica creates work across fashion, textiles, editorial, books, packaging, advertising, and cultural projects. Her work is primarily created in watercolor, often combining traditional and digital techniques. Her style is feminine, colorful, and expressive, with a strong sense of color and a distinctive visual language.

Her book, If You Are Bored with Watercolors, Read This Book, was published by Octopus Publishing Group in 2017 and has since been translated into several languages and published internationally, including in the US, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden, and Japan.
